In a remarkable act of bravery, 16-year-old Kadden Dowdle and his sister Amber Dillard saved six people from a sinking SUV during severe flooding in Arkansas. The incident unfolded on Interstate 30, where Dowdle immediately jumped into the rushing waters after witnessing the wreck. He reported feeling compelled to act, stating, “If I had stayed in the truck, I would feel like a bad person today. ” His sister, a dedicated second-grade teacher, also joined the rescue, instinctively helping the children involved. Together, they successfully brought everyone to safety, with Dowdle emphasizing that he was merely performing a good deed.

Their quick actions have drawn praise from school leaders, including principal Carol Foster, who expressed pride in their heroism.
