In comparison, Arkansas's statewide rental prices are lower than September's median of $1,338, with one-bedroom rentals averaging $895 and two-bedrooms at $1,029. Fort Smith's typical apartment rent is 31% below the state median, highlighting a significant affordability gap.

Nationally, apartment rental prices remain stable at about $1,900, with Fort Smith rentals being 53% lower than the national average. This data is crucial for potential renters looking for affordable housing options in the area.
