On October 16, the Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees approved new academic tracks in artificial intelligence and software development for the Bachelor of Science in computer science. Additional academic initiatives included a Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish health and social science translation and a Graduate Certificate in library studies. A revised 90-credit-hour Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational leadership was also greenlighted. The board toured the newly renovated Techionery building, which originally opened in 1937 and now houses the ATU theatre and film program. Renovations, funded by an $810,445 grant, included roof replacement and interior enhancements, completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

The project allowed for extra improvements, such as new flooring and fresh paint. The Techionery has historically served as a student commons and meeting space for various student organizations. These academic changes and renovations aim to enhance educational offerings and support for students at ATU.
