A Prairie Grove man, Silas Smith, 20, faces charges for possessing child sexual abuse material after an arrest in a Walmart restroom. Police apprehended Smith following a report of a man locked in a women’s restroom stall, where wine coolers and baby lotion were found. A female victim reported observing Smith peering over the stalls while she was using the bathroom. After obtaining a search warrant, investigators discovered numerous videos on Smith’s phone depicting women filmed in the Walmart restroom. Smith’s possession of child sexual abuse material adds serious implications to the case.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding safety in public restrooms and the potential for voyeurism. Smith remains in custody at the Washington County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
