Andrew James McGann acted alone and didn't know his victims, police believe

Andrew James McGann, 43, killed Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, during a hike at Devil's Den. Police arrested him after DNA evidence connected him to the crime scene, affirming that he acted alone in what they described as a random act of violence. The Brinks' daughters, aged 7 and 9, found their way to another hiker, who contacted authorities after discovering the bodies. Witnesses reported seeing a man with blood on his face and described a black sedan linked to the crime. Investigators identified the vehicle as a 2022 Kia Stinger, which was later found at a salon in Springdale.

McGann admitted ownership of the car and allowed police to search it, where they found what appeared to be blood. The case has drawn significant local attention, highlighting safety concerns for hikers in the area. McGann is scheduled to appear in court on Friday morning.
