Breakdown of Rogers water and sewer rate increases starting October 2025
The Rogers City Council unanimously approved a water and sewer rate increase, effective October 1st. Residential water rates will rise to $11. 42 inside the city and $14. 85 outside, while seniors will pay $5. 71 and $7.
42, respectively. This adjustment follows a rate study aimed at addressing infrastructure needs and future growth. Public Relations Manager Peter Masonis emphasized that the funds will enhance wastewater capacity and replace aging infrastructure. The city is set to invest over $100 million in water distribution and sewer collection projects over the next five years. Additionally, another $160 million will be allocated for expanding capacity at the Rogers Pollution Control Facility.
One council member noted the discomfort of rate increases but highlighted the city's proactive planning compared to neighboring regions. The increase will range from 39 cents to over two dollars, depending on individual usage.
