The Gulf Coast region's average gas price rose to $2. 74 per gallon on Monday, up from $2. 72 the previous week, according to the U. S. Energy Information Administration.

This marks the second consecutive week of price increases, contrasting with a decline of about 5 cents since last month. A year ago, the average price was 11% higher at $3. 09 per gallon, illustrating a notable decrease over the year. The current national average stands at $3. 14 per gallon, making Gulf Coast prices approximately 12.
