Edgewater Bridge Replacement Moving Along

Everett, WALocal News

The Edgewater Bridge Replacement Project is advancing, as crews are close to completing the piling placement essential for the new structure. Later this month, the existing bridge will start to be dismantled, marking a significant phase in the construction timeline. Residents can follow the progress via a live webcam hosted on the city’s official website. Most work has been conducted beneath the bridge deck, but the project is set to transition to more visible activities, such as sawcutting and traditional demolition methods. The city of Everett has issued a strong reminder regarding safety protocols, urging the public to refrain from entering the closed construction site.

With large sections of the bridge deck and railings already removed, the risks associated with unauthorized access have escalated. The ongoing construction has also resulted in the closure of Mukilteo Boulevard, which will remain in effect until the new bridge is completed. This project not only reflects the city’s commitment to infrastructure improvement but also highlights the importance of public safety during such significant undertakings.
