Providence Swedish Expands Behavioral Health Services in Snohomish County My Everett News
Providence Swedish has taken a significant step to address the rising mental health crisis in North Puget Sound by expanding its Behavioral Health services in Snohomish County. This expansion includes the opening of two new facilities in Everett and Edmonds, enhancing access to vital mental health support for local residents. The new Everett location at 916 Pacific Ave. now offers a five-days-a-week partial hospitalization group therapy program, which complements existing inpatient services. In Edmonds, all outpatient services have been centralized at 20701 76th Ave.
W, Suite 200, allowing for better patient care and increased capacity from 12 to 30 patients at a time. These expansions were made possible through generous community donations and support from foundations, underscoring the importance of local involvement in mental health initiatives. The programs aim to provide structured support and facilitate connections among individuals facing similar challenges, thereby reducing feelings of isolation. As one participant noted, the program empowers patients to take significant steps towards self-care. This initiative is a crucial response to the urgent demand for accessible mental health services in the region.
