On January 25, 2025, the Everett Police Department, in conjunction with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, arrested Joseph Andrew Jacquez for the 1989 murder of Mary Ann Daniels. This case, which has haunted the community for nearly 36 years, saw significant advancement thanks to modern DNA technology. Mary Ann, a 33-year-old disabled woman, was found murdered in her home on Hoyt Ave, a tragic event that left a lasting impact on her loved ones. Chief John DeRousse praised Detective Logothetti's perseverance in the investigation, emphasizing the department's commitment to addressing violent crime.
