Loose Python Unexpected Visitor at Condos in South Everett

Everett, WALocal News

A three-year-old ball python was discovered roaming outside a condo in South Everett on Wednesday morning. The snake, identifiable by its distinctive brown and tan blotched pattern, was captured by animal control without incident. Residents were surprised by the unexpected visitor at the Village By the Lake condos, which underscores the potential for exotic pets to escape and roam freely. Ball pythons are non-venomous and frequently kept as pets, making the sighting unusual yet non-threatening. Sir Reginald Hissington, as the snake is now named, currently resides at the Everett Animal Shelter.

The presence of such reptiles in residential neighborhoods raises awareness about responsible pet ownership and safety. This incident may prompt local discussions on regulations regarding exotic pets. The Everett community remains engaged in ensuring the safety of both residents and animals alike.
