Explore downtown Everetts rich history with new walking tours

Everett, WALocal News

The City of Everett has unveiled two engaging walking tours aimed at illuminating the city's rich historical tapestry. Designed for mobile accessibility, these tours guide participants through significant downtown locations, including properties recognized on the National Register. Assistant Planner Kembra Landry noted that the short tour is ideal for those with just an hour to spare, while the longer tour dives deeper into the decades of Everett's history. The initiative was made possible through funding from the Washington State Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation, showcasing the city's commitment to preserving its heritage. Users can access detailed information and navigation features directly through the city’s website.

For those preferring a physical guide, a printed version of the short tour is available at Everett City Hall. To further explore Everett's history, residents are encouraged to contact the Northwest Room at the Everett Public Library.
