Cascade High School in Candidacy for International Baccalaureate Diploma Program

Everett, WALocal News

Cascade High School (CHS) has announced its candidacy for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, marking a significant step toward becoming an IB World School. Superintendent Dr. Ian B. Saltzman shared this news during a school board meeting, highlighting the program's focus on academic rigor and international education. The IB Diploma Program, which spans students' junior and senior years, emphasizes critical thinking and language proficiency.

To prepare students for this challenging curriculum, CHS will provide guidance to students in grades 8-10. Other IB World Schools in the region include Edmonds-Woodway, Ingraham, and Inglemoor high schools. Interested families can attend an information night at the CHS library on October 23, from 6-7 p. m. to learn more about the program.

This initiative reflects Everett Public Schools' commitment to fostering a high-quality educational environment. More information is available on the IBO website for those unable to attend the event.
