Everett named bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists

The League of American Bicyclists has awarded Everett, Washington, the title of bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community, recognizing its substantial work in improving local cycling infrastructure. Mayor Cassie Franklin highlighted the city's commitment to enhancing biking conditions, noting that over 24 miles of bikeways have been established since the implementation of the Bicycle Master Plan in 2011. Christina Anna Curtis, the city's active transportation engineer, stated that this award reinforces Everett's commitment to promoting non-car travel and providing residents with diverse transportation options. In conjunction with National Bike Month, Everett plans to host various community events aimed at fostering a cycling culture.
