Homes and businesses honored with Monte Cristo Awards

The City of Everett celebrated its 26th Monte Cristo Awards ceremony in December 2024, recognizing 34 homes and businesses for their exceptional street appeal. After a five-year hiatus, the awards program resumed, fueled by community nominations and grant funding. Categories included Green Gardening, Neighborhood Friendly Business, and Pride of the Neighborhood, showcasing the city's commitment to beautification. Noteworthy winners included Mom & Pops Cakery and The Milk House Coffee Co. , which earned accolades for their impressive curb appeal.

The Marian Krell Award, named after a former council member, honored Clint & Alyssa Seal for their continued excellence in property maintenance. This event underscores the importance of community engagement in maintaining neighborhood aesthetics. The Monte Cristo Awards not only recognize individual efforts but also promote a culture of pride and responsibility among Everett’s residents.
