A tragic shooting occurred at the Park View Apartments in Everett, WA, around 1:05 p. m. , resulting in one male fatality and one female sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The female victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Witnesses were instrumental in identifying the suspect and his vehicle, leading to a police pursuit that began shortly after the incident.

The chase concluded when the suspect's vehicle crashed on I-5 North, where initial reports indicated that uninvolved vehicles may have been caught up in the crash. Following the collision, officers reported hearing gunshots from the suspect's vehicle, and upon safely approaching, they discovered the suspect deceased inside. Importantly, no shots were fired by law enforcement during the encounter. The ongoing investigation has resulted in partial lane closures on I-5, and authorities are advising the public to use alternate routes.
