Everett Water Utility is preparing to break ground on a new regional water reservoir on July 23, 2024, which will replace the 100-year-old Reservoir 3 that currently supplies water to south Snohomish County. This significant infrastructure project is expected to serve approximately 457,000 residents, ensuring safe drinking water and adequate fire flow for public safety. The new reservoirs are designed with seismic resilience in mind, allowing them to withstand major earthquakes.
