Truck Takes Out Pole and Bus Stop on Broadway

A truck accident on Broadway in Everett caused extensive damage, taking out a traffic pole and a bus stop at the intersection of 16th and Broadway. The truck hit the pole, traveled through the bus stop, and caused the pole to fall onto the vehicle, but fortunately, the driver emerged uninjured. Images shared by Everett City Traffic Engineer Corey Hert depict the significant destruction of the bus stop and a metal sculpture nearby. The city has announced that repairs to the pole will take several weeks, during which a right turn only will be enforced at the intersection to facilitate the work. As of now, there have been no updates regarding the replacement of the damaged bus stop.

This incident highlights the ongoing concerns regarding urban infrastructure and traffic safety. Local authorities are likely examining the accident to prevent future occurrences and ensure public safety.
