5 Boats Destroyed In Everett Marina Fire

A fire at Everett Marina on Saturday evening led to the destruction of five boats, with no serious injuries reported. Fire Chief Tim Key stated that the fire broke out shortly after 7:30 PM at D dock, close to Anthony’s Woodfire Grill. Five people jumped into the water to escape the flames, and all were safely rescued from the water. Smoke from the fire was visible as far away as the Hewitt Avenue Trestle, indicating the severity of the situation. Four boats sank, while another sustained damage but remained afloat.

The Department of Ecology has been called to assess the situation as Everett Fire investigators begin their inquiry. A damage estimate or cause of the fire has not yet been determined. This incident underscores the potential dangers associated with marina fires and the swift response of emergency services.
