Everett Firefighters Contain Boathouse Blaze To A Single Unit

A boat fire in a boathouse at the Port of Everett Marina was swiftly controlled by Everett Firefighters on Tuesday afternoon, preventing a larger disaster. Smoke was first reported around 5:15 PM, prompting a rapid response from fire crews who arrived to find black smoke billowing from the structure. Firefighters executed a quick attack, successfully containing the fire to a single unit while additional crews stood by to assist with potential evacuations. Support from Marysville fire and Naval Station Everett Fire Department bolstered the firefighting efforts. Port of Everett acting CEO Lisa Lefeber commended the firefighters for their effective response and teamwork.

An Everett fire investigator has been called to determine the cause of the fire, and no injuries were reported. Damage estimates remain unknown at this time. The incident highlights the importance of rapid emergency response in protecting local infrastructure.
