Everett Street Tunes Pianos Are Back

Everett, WALocal News

Everett's "Street Tunes" event returns today, running until August 29, 2024, with its signature artistically decorated pianos placed throughout the city. The initiative, started in 2010, invites local musicians to play at various sites, including the Everett Station and Angel of the Winds Arena. This year features two new pianos, located at the Imagine Children’s Museum and Colby Avenue Tattoo, which have yet to be named. The event aims to foster community engagement and enrich local culture through music. Participants can find a detailed map, created by Kari Quaas, to explore the piano locations.

The initiative resumed last year after a hiatus due to the Covid pandemic, highlighting its importance to the community. Local businesses and public spaces benefit from the added vibrancy music brings. The initiative continues to strengthen Everett’s artistic landscape.
