Arrests Made in 2022 Home Invasion Homicide in South Everett

Snohomish County authorities arrested two suspects, Kevin Thissel, 28, and Chris Johnson, 23, for the home invasion homicide of Irah Sok, 36, on August 19, 2022. Both face federal charges and are expected to be charged in state court with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder and first-degree robbery. The investigation uncovered that three armed suspects kicked in the front door and shot Sok while she was in bed next to her 7-year-old child. Sok's husband was zip-tied during the invasion as the suspects ransacked the home for luxury items, stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of possessions. Sheriff Susanna Johnson commended the investigative team's efforts, highlighting the emotional toll on the community, particularly on Sok's young child.
