Evergreen State Fair Food Drive is back

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Evergreen State Fair Food Drive encourages residents to donate five or more non-perishable food items at Lee Johnson Auto Family dealerships to receive free weekday fair tickets until July 10. Each donor can earn one ticket per donation, with a limit of five tickets per vehicle. This year, the fair team hopes to exceed last year's impressive total of nearly 17,000 pounds of food collected for families in need. Mike Ohlsen, the Evergreen State Fair manager, highlighted the fair's commitment to community and tradition. Donations will benefit the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition, which addresses local food insecurity.

The fair will take place from August 21 to September 1 at Evergreen State Fair Park in Monroe. Advance ticketing via food donations allows visitors to choose their optimal day to attend. Suggested donation items include canned goods, hygiene products, and cooking staples.
