Effective December 1, Edmonds School District will implement a price increase for school lunches to adhere to federal regulations. The cost for elementary and secondary student lunches will rise by 25 cents, while adult lunches will see a 50-cent increase. The District emphasized the availability of Free and Reduced-Price Meal benefits throughout the year, urging families to apply, especially if their financial situation changes. New prices will be $3. 75 for elementary lunches, $4.

25 for secondary lunches, and $5. 50 for adult lunches. Designated schools will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students, as they receive full federal reimbursement. This decision reflects the necessity to maintain meal prices above federal reimbursement levels for free and reduced-price meals.
