Building Bridges Summit on civic health to gather in Everett June 26

On June 26, the Building Bridges Summit 2. 0 will occur from 6-7:30 p. m. at WSU Everett, featuring councilmembers Jared Mead and Nate Nehring. This event aims to unite students, civic leaders, and community members in a respectful dialogue to strengthen civic health.

Building Bridges Project, co-founded by Mead and Nehring, promotes conversations that connect individuals across political divides. The summit will feature a live panel moderated by Jesse Jones, showcasing Jackson High School students and community leaders. The event also marks the conclusion of the Future Leaders Academy, where nearly 50 seniors engaged in civic activities and discussions. Councilmember Mead emphasized the initiative's goal of cultivating leaders who prioritize curiosity and care. Wendy Poischbeg, CEO of the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce, stated, “It shows how dialogue, not division, can be our strongest civic tool.

” The Building Bridges Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, focuses on empowering communities through respectful dialogue.

Gas tax will rise in Washington on July 1
