The Hazel Miller Foundation awarded $225,518 to 29 organizations during its 2025 spring grant cycle, significantly expanding its outreach from earlier awards. The Foundation for Edmonds School District received $2,500 to support a Back to School Fair, while the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County received $5,000 for their Healthy Lifestyles Initiative. Board Chair Shannon Burley noted that the foundation aims to fund organizations that resonate with the late Hazel Miller's passion for community service. Grants also included $5,000 to support the EWHS Jazz Colony summer program, enhancing musical education for local students. Girls on the Run Snohomish County was awarded $15,000 to provide financial aid for participants in their after-school program, ensuring accessibility for all.

The House of Wisdom received $7,500 to support tutoring for immigrant and refugee students, helping them navigate educational challenges. Overall, this grant cycle underscores the foundation's commitment to addressing diverse community needs in Edmonds. With nearly $200,000 previously awarded, the foundation continues to play a pivotal role in local enrichment efforts.
