Snohomish County has launched its 2026 tourism grant cycle, accepting applications for the first round until August 20, 2025. The grants, sourced from the Hotel-Motel Small Fund, total an estimated $500,000 and are intended to support tourism-related projects in the county. Individual project funding will range between $5,000 and $50,000, though the overall demand typically surpasses available funds. A second grant round is set to open this fall, earmarking an additional $300,000 for projects that boost tourism ahead of significant events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will evaluate applications and make recommendations to the Snohomish County Council for final decisions.

Eligibility criteria are designed to encourage broad participation and innovative proposals, as outlined in Snohomish County Code and Washington state law. Applications must be submitted digitally via email, with confirmations sent for successful submissions.
