City of Edmonds free movies in the park series returns starting July 11

The City of Edmonds will host free movie nights in local parks starting July 11, featuring films like "Moana 2" and "The Goonies. " Movies will begin approximately 15 minutes after sunset, with popcorn and concessions available for cash purchase. The series will include a Children’s Entrepreneur Market on July 25, allowing kids to sell handmade goods. On August 1, a community baseball game will take place before the screening of "The Sandlot" at Hickman Park. Local sponsors, including Verdant Health Commission and Windermere Real Estate, have made this series possible.

Attendees should note that alcohol and dogs are prohibited in public parks during the events. The initiative aims to foster community engagement and provide family-friendly entertainment. More information is available through the Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Human Services Department.
