Lynnwood High School celebrated the graduation of 243 seniors on Friday, making it a historic event as they are the first class to complete four uninterrupted years of school following the pandemic. Class President Leslie Vazquez highlighted their perseverance and the importance of their achievements, particularly for Latino students who are the first in their families to graduate high school. Valedictorian Nathan Tran Doan inspired his peers by emphasizing the courage required to pursue dreams and overcome challenges. Faculty speaker Sarah Nelson encouraged graduates to face future uncertainties with love and courage, stressing the importance of their contributions to society. The ceremony also honored students who earned associate degrees through the Running Start program and recognized 43 graduates who received the Washington State Seal of Biliteracy.

In total, the Foundation for Edmonds School District awarded $249,000 in scholarships to 83 graduates, with 23 recipients from Lynnwood High School. The event showcased the school's commitment to academic and personal growth, as well as community support for its students. Graduates were reminded that their journey is just beginning, filled with opportunities for lifelong growth.
