The Edmonds Waterfront Center will host the 2025 Juneteenth at the Beach event on June 19, from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. , featuring a community meal and a free screening of *Hidden Figures*.

Food donations for the Edmonds Food Bank are encouraged, reinforcing the commitment to combat food insecurity in the community. Donnie Griffin, president of Lift Every Voice Legacy, highlights the connection between meals and community engagement, stating that the event celebrates a historical path toward freedom. Actress Eva Abram will present a special segment on the fight for freedom, alongside remarks from U. S. Congressman Rick Larsen and State Sen.

Marko Liias. The program will also include performances by local poets and musicians, enriching the cultural landscape of the event. The Edmonds Waterfront Center, often referred to as the "Living Room of Edmonds," aims to create an inclusive community through various programs. This year marks the third consecutive celebration of Juneteenth at this venue, emphasizing its significance in promoting social justice and community cohesion.
