Edmonds SnoKing AAUW presents 12K in scholarships - My Edmonds News

The Edmonds SnoKing AAUW awarded $12,000 in scholarships to six students during a ceremony at Edmonds College on June 7. Each recipient received $2,000 to assist with their college education. Scholarship winners included Truc nhi Truong, Everett High School; Lucia Garcia-Mendez, Edmonds College; Camille Orego, Washington State University Everett; Emma Guthrie, Marysville Getchell High School; and Brooklyn Nuttall, also from Marysville Getchell High School. Notably, Kristy Thien Ly Ho from Cascade High School was unable to attend the event. The AAUW raises funds year-round to support its AE3 Foundation, which focuses on educational initiatives for local students.

This year’s scholarship program underscores the organization’s dedication to empowering young women through education. The financial support provided by these scholarships helps reduce the burden of college costs for recipients. Such initiatives are vital in fostering educational opportunities and promoting community development.
