Northwest Neighbors Network celebrates members and volunteers

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Northwest Neighbors Network (NNN) celebrated its annual Member and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on June 7 at Crista Senior Living in Shoreline, gathering 100 members and volunteers. Mayor Mike Rosen proclaimed June 7 as Northwest Neighbors Network Day, underscoring the organization's mission to support seniors and adults with disabilities. NNN aims to foster ongoing connections, empowering individuals to thrive in their communities. Board president Mahyar Rahbarrad highlighted that many volunteers are seniors, who find meaning and friendship through their contributions. In addition to volunteer services, NNN hosts social events and educational opportunities to promote healthy, independent living.

The organization currently seeks volunteers aged 18 and older for various roles, including transportation and technology assistance. All services are coordinated by a dedicated Service Coordination Team made up primarily of volunteers. Interested individuals can learn more or get involved by visiting NorthwestNeighborsNetwork. org or contacting the organization directly.
