Class of 2025 Edmonds eLearning Academy graduates receive diplomas with perseverance

The Edmonds eLearning Academy celebrated its graduating seniors during a commencement ceremony at the Edmonds School District Stadium. Principal Kim Hunter praised the Class of 2025 for their perseverance through challenges like technology issues and remote learning. Hunter shared her own experience with the clarinet to illustrate the value of dedication and practice. Senior Landon Housden discussed his initial struggles in a mainstream high school and how he learned to take responsibility for his education. He emphasized that hard work and commitment are key to overcoming obstacles.

Senior Shaun Van Dyke acknowledged the support from the academy's staff, stating that their dedication helped him graduate on time. The mastery-based program allows students to earn credits by demonstrating understanding, which can lead to quicker course completion. This ceremony highlighted the resilience and determination of the students, showcasing their journey to graduation.
