Big changes coming for Edmonds Arnies Restaurant building

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Port of Edmonds has finalized the sale of The Landing building to 1010 Development, which plans to create a boutique hotel and wellness spa. The hotel aims to provide public spaces and eateries for both guests and local residents. Construction is estimated to commence in 2029, allowing current tenants, including Arnie’s Restaurant, to operate until then. Ryan Appleby, president of 1010 Development, highlighted the importance of Edmonds to his family, which has lived in the area for five generations. Economic Development Director Brittany Williams expressed optimism about the new investment, stating it will introduce fresh energy and services to the community.

The Port's decision is part of a larger master planning process set for 2026, focusing on the best use of waterfront property. The project will not alter the building’s footprint but will involve a complete teardown. This development is expected to attract new business and tourism to Edmonds, enhancing its waterfront appeal.
