Scene in Edmonds Commemorative bricks put in place
Volunteers at the Edmonds Historical Museum installed commemorative bricks in the plaza on Monday, marking the first installation for 2025. The team comprised Kevin Fagerstrom, Dean Larsen, David Kuhlmann, and Plaza Brick Project Coordinator Sharon McAllister, who celebrated her birthday during the event. The bricks serve as a means to honor, memorialize, and appreciate friends and family members. McAllister revealed that "bricks are on sale now for our fall installation," encouraging community participation. The plaza, located on 5th Avenue near Bell Street, serves as a public space for reflection and remembrance.
This initiative not only beautifies the area but also fosters a sense of community connection. The sale of bricks provides ongoing support for the museum's activities and preservation efforts. Engaging the local community in such initiatives enhances the cultural fabric of Edmonds.
