Oliveros, Reda join My Neighborhood News Network board of directors
My Neighborhood News Network expanded its board by appointing Diana Oliveros and Forrest Reda as new directors, growing the board from five to seven members. Oliveros, who is the co-founder and COO of Se Habla Media, brings expertise in diplomacy and local economic development, having served as Consul of Community Outreach at the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle. Reda, a real estate professional, is known for his community advocacy and currently chairs the City of Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Committee. Both new members are dedicated to advancing MNNN's mission of providing civic education and engagement to all stakeholders, especially those traditionally underrepresented. Board Chair Teresa Wippel highlighted their impressive professional backgrounds and commitment to the organization's goals.
MNNN oversees three community news publications and recently transitioned to a community-funded nonprofit model. The annual meeting is scheduled for June 28 at the Edmonds Library, allowing residents to engage with the board. This meeting represents an opportunity for the public to learn more about the organization and its new leadership.
