Edmonds Arts Festival Gallery Arts announces 2025 award winners

The Edmonds Arts Festival celebrated its 68th annual event from June 13-15, awarding over $10,000 in prizes to regional artists. The awards ceremony took place at the Edmonds Library Plaza and featured more than 1,700 entries with over 750 invited art pieces. Juror Amanda Houston, who presented awards for paintings, focused on technical ability, originality, and the artist's unique voice. "It was an honor to serve as juror," Houston stated, reflecting on the diversity of art styles present. Juror Molly Murrah evaluated mixed media and drawings, emphasizing emotional engagement and strong composition.

She noted that technique serves as a foundation for successful artwork. Sculpture awards were given by juror Stephanie Hargrave, who praised the artists' creativity and courage in sharing their work. The festival highlights the vibrant artistic community in Edmonds and fosters local cultural expression.
