Sound Transit to run additional service for Club World Cup

Sound Transit is enhancing Link light rail and Sounder train services for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, which runs from June 15 to June 25. The agency will provide increased service and special game trains to accommodate soccer fans and regular commuters. Additional staff will be present at stations to assist passengers during the event, which is expected to draw large crowds. Key service enhancements include eight-minute headways on the Link light rail on June 15 and June 23. Sounder trains will adjust schedules for five of the six matches, with special departures from Everett and Lakewood.

Regular commuters should verify updated schedules, as some train times may change. Sound Transit also plans to add ST Express service along critical routes if necessary. The agency's proactive measures aim to ensure a smooth transit experience for all travelers during this significant sporting event.
