Edmonds School Board to recognize spring sports athletes June 10

The Edmonds School Board will honor spring sports athletes from local high schools during a meeting scheduled for June 10 at 6:30 p. m. at the Educational Services Center. The meeting will also include a celebration of the board’s student advisors, emphasizing student engagement in school governance. Seven items are on the agenda for voting, including revised nondiscrimination policies and two significant contracts for school facility upgrades.

A contract for fire alarm replacement at Alderwood Early Childhood Center and two bids for construction projects will be considered, including one for the Multipurpose Fieldhouse at Edmonds-Woodway High School. Kirtley-Cole Associates LLC is set to receive the bid for this project as the lowest responsible bidder. The meeting will be streamed online, allowing community members to participate remotely. This event underscores the board's commitment to recognizing student achievements and enhancing educational facilities in the district.
