All ages find book treasures at Friends of Edmonds Library sale

The Friends of the Edmonds Library held its annual book sale, featuring 3,500 to 4,000 sorted books and media on 30 tables. Volunteers categorized nearly 800 fiction titles and arranged non-fiction books by subject for easy access. The sale opened to library members at 10 a. m. Saturday, followed by the general public at 11 a.

m. , drawing significant community interest. Families particularly flocked to the children's section, which offered around 300 titles for various age groups. Proceeds from the event fund summer reading programs and literacy initiatives in the Edmonds area. Thom Garrard, the organization’s treasurer, emphasized the impact of these funds on local literacy efforts.

The sale not only provides affordable books but also fosters a love for reading and learning in the community.
