Praised for their resiliency, Edmonds Heights grads receive diplomas
The Edmonds Heights K-12 graduation ceremony took place on June 7, 2025, with a 50-member class celebrated by approximately 200 attendees in the school gymnasium. Principal Kathleen Hodges highlighted the school's distinct educational model, which empowers parents as primary educators, fostering a collaborative learning environment. During the ceremony, diplomas were presented by the graduates' parents, reinforcing the school's commitment to family involvement. Student speakers, who volunteered to share their experiences, included Isabella Contreras, Soleil Schultz, River Bell, Aliah Gerhold, and Elanor Sansburn, each reflecting on their academic journeys. Graduating senior Liam Padfield performed his original composition, showcasing the creative talents nurtured at the school.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Greg Schwab addressed the graduates, emphasizing the importance of their ideas and voices as they step into the future. He encouraged them to approach new challenges with confidence and humility. The ceremony underscored the nurturing environment at Edmonds Heights, where self-directed learning and family engagement are central to student success.
