Baton Health and the Teladan Project will host a free family gardening event on June 7 from 11 a. m. to 1:30 p. m. at Point Edwards Farm in Woodway.

The event aims to enhance mental health and strengthen family connections through hands-on gardening activities, including a take-home kit for participants. Attendees will also receive mental health education and engage in nature-based self-care practices in a scenic urban farm setting. Parking is limited, prompting organizers to encourage carpooling or walking to the venue. Spots are limited, and attendees must RSVP to secure their participation. This initiative responds to the increasing demand for youth and family wellness programming in the area.

According to the organizers, such events are crucial for fostering community support and resilience. The partnership between local health organizations underscores a commitment to enhancing community well-being through engaging outdoor activities.
