EWHS student awarded Alpha Delta Kappa scholarship

Chloe Williams, a senior at Edmonds-Woodway High School, has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship from the Washington State Alpha Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an organization dedicated to supporting women educators. The scholarship recognizes students for their academic excellence, community service, and aspirations to teach. Williams has demonstrated her commitment to education by taking an early childhood education course through Running Start and engaging in various teaching activities, such as babysitting and assisting children in art projects. She also contributes to her community by helping young dancers and teaching paddle board lessons. Other students from Shorecrest and Shorewood High Schools were also honored with scholarships.

Williams plans to attend the University of Arizona to pursue her goal of becoming a primary school teacher. The Alpha Delta Kappa organization aims to promote educational excellence and community support, making this scholarship a significant achievement for Williams. Her enthusiasm for teaching and working with children positions her well for a successful career in education.
