Edmonds College was awarded a $300,000 grant from Jobs for the Future to enhance its Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center (AMSC). This two-year initiative aims to improve access to quality job opportunities for economically disadvantaged students. College President Dr. Amit B. Singh highlighted the grant's role in developing strategies and community partnerships to boost enrollment in affordable workforce programs.

Objectives include increasing AMSC enrollment by at least 30% annually and expanding opportunities for paid work-based learning experiences. The AMSC specializes in providing industry-recognized certifications and short-term training, ensuring students acquire job-ready skills in high-demand fields. JFF's Project ACCESS initiative selects Edmonds College as one of ten community colleges nationwide to foster educational and career opportunities for all students. The grant will also provide technical assistance to help create pathways to quality jobs through work-based learning and career navigation. This funding marks a significant investment in workforce development, addressing local economic barriers.
