Reminder Lynnwood Rotary derby race for children with disabilities June 14
The Lynnwood Rotary Club is set to host its eighth annual Challenge Series Derby Car Race on June 14, running from 9 a. m. to noon at Lynnwood Elementary School. This event aims to provide children with disabilities, ages 5 and older, an opportunity to engage with peers in a competitive yet inclusive setting. Participants will race in two-person derby cars, accompanied by trained co-drivers.
Families can register through the Rotary Club's website or by contacting Race Chair Debbie Bodal at dbodal@gmail. com. In addition to the races, attendees can enjoy face painting, a bounce house, and food from Chick-fil-A, enhancing the community atmosphere. The event supports youth with developmental disabilities while welcoming all students. The derby cars were designed by Leo Finnegan, inspired by his son with developmental disabilities.
The event is free and open to the public, making it an accessible celebration for all families.
