Council hears a long list of budget cuts if city doesnt pass a levy this fall

During a Committee of the Whole meeting, the Edmonds City Council assessed a list of budget cuts in light of a looming $13 million deficit. Councilmember Vivian Olson raised concerns about perceptions of high salaries in law enforcement, advocating for competitive compensation to retain officers.

Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Director Angie Feser highlighted the potential negative effects on community programs if budget cuts proceed.
