VFW Post 8870 announces student scholarship winners

VFW Post 8870 awarded the James Traner Freedom and Memorial Scholarship for fall 2025 to four students, providing each with $1,500 toward their education. The recipients are Kasey Fleger-Holmes from Meadowdale High School, Jessica Ruby Osburn from Lynnwood High School, Megan Cisneros from Archbishop Murphy High School, and Isabelle Fratto from Kamiak High School. Winners were chosen based on an essay addressing the meaning of freedom, their GPA, leadership qualities, and community service involvement. This scholarship program aims to support students as they pursue higher education at colleges or trade schools of their choice.
