Edmonds School District to host free vaccine clinic May 16

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Edmonds School District will host a free vaccine clinic on May 16 from 1-6 p. m. outside the Verdant building in Lynnwood, where both adults and children over six months old can receive immunizations. COVID-19 vaccines and routine childhood immunizations will be available, administered by the Washington Department of Health’s “Care-a-Van” mobile health services. While registration is encouraged, walk-ins will be accepted depending on vaccine availability.

Adults aged 19 and older are asked to provide their insurance information, though vaccines are free for uninsured or underinsured individuals, including children. Importantly, those with Kaiser or TRICARE insurance cannot receive vaccinations at this event due to out-of-network status. This initiative aims to enhance community health and access to vaccinations, especially in light of ongoing public health challenges. Families interested in vaccination can register online via the provided link. The clinic represents a vital effort to ensure that all community members, regardless of insurance status, have access to necessary immunizations.
