Construction on Main Street Overlay Project to resume week of May 19

Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds announced that construction on the Main Street Overlay Project will restart on May 19, closing Main Street from 7 a. m. to 5 p. m. for grinding and overlay work.

Paving is set for May 22, and traffic will be detoured to Dayton Street during these hours. Residents should prepare for noise from trucks and heavy machinery as well as possible delays of up to 15 minutes due to traffic control measures. “No Parking” signs will be positioned three days before construction begins, although driveway access will remain open. The project is part of a broader effort to improve local infrastructure, ensuring safer and more efficient roadways. Weather conditions may affect the schedule, and the City encourages residents to check their website for updates.

Jaime Hawkins, the project contact, is available for questions at 425-771-0220 or via email. Language assistance services can be requested free of charge for those needing information in another language.
