Treating soil topic of Edmonds Floretum Garden Club May 19 meeting

The Edmonds Floretum Garden Club will host Christina Pfeiffer, a horticulture educator and author, on May 19 to discuss critical soil care techniques in her presentation titled “What on Earth? Vital Soil Care Tactics for Every Garden. ” Pfeiffer's insights will focus on the impact of soil treatment on plant health and resilience to drought, exploring methods like organic mulches and soil amendments. This meeting will also serve as the conclusion of the club's 2024-2025 program year, with elections for new officers for 2025-2026. The gathering will be held in the Brackett Room at Edmonds City Hall, with social time starting at 10 a.

m. and the meeting beginning at 10:30 a. m. Community members are welcome to participate and learn about sustainable gardening practices. In addition to her talk, Pfeiffer's experience as an author of "Pacific Northwest Month-by-Month Gardening" adds credibility to her presentation.
